Join us for worship and Sunday School at 10am. Summer worship at 9am downstairs in the Vestry.
Our goal is to create worship that is welcoming, Spirit-filled, joyous, participatory, inclusive, and provides spiritual nurture for the week ahead.
We are traditional in our faith and contemporary in our thinking, and our worship reflects this.
We are a church community committed to celebrating and worshipping God whom we know as Creator, Christ and Spirit.
We believe that God is active in our lives and in our church. We believe that God is Still Speaking! (To find out more about our denomination's Still Speaking campaign visit: stillspeaking.org
We celebrate the presence with us of Jesus Christ and seek to follow him in love, faith and service.
We are committed to deepening our faith through worship, prayer, study, discussion, and service.
We are a church that understands the spiritual life as a journey of deepening relationship with God.
We value the unique ways that God is revealed in our lives, in our faith questions and struggles, and in our experience.
We are a church that understands that many people feel alienated from God and from the church. We extend God’s invitation to "Come Home!"
We are a member church of the United Church of Christ, the largest and oldest Protestant denomination in Massachusetts. To learn more about the United Church of Christ visit our national website: ucc.org or the Massachusetts Conference UCC website: macucc.org
On the first Sunday of the month we celebrate communion. Our table is open to everyone who seeks God's presence.
The second Sunday of the month we share a time of silent prayer and meditation, sometimes referred to as "the sacrament of silence."
The third Sunday of the month we offer a time of healing, annointing with healing oil and laying on of hands for our own needs and the needs of others.
The last Sunday of the month we light candles for the needs of the world outside our doors.
Every Sunday we invite people to bring their offerings forward as a way of thanking God for our blessing. On the last Sunday of the month we also bring offerings of non-perishable food for the Templeton Food Pantry.
Every Sunday we invite people to share their experiences of God's presence with them and to share their prayers.
There is a time for "Children of All Ages" about fifteen minutes into the worship service. Immediately afterwards, children are invited to go downstairs with their teachers for Sunday School (September through May) or to return to sit with their families during the summer.
Children are always welcome in worship!
Our sanctuary is accessible by a ramp. Sadly, our Vestry (including our bathrooms) requires negotiating several steps. Our members would be happy to provide assistance to anyone who requires it.
Our worship is casual, relaxed, friendly. Come as you are! There is no dress code.
There is coffee hour immediately after worship--a chance to meet old friends and make new ones.
There is an on-going Adult Bible Study that gives us all a chance to explore our faith, wrestle with the hard questions, and share our faith with one another. We usually meet Tuesday evenings at 6:30pm. During the summer we meet monthly for special programs and discussions. Everyone is welcome!
